 Since it opened in 2000, our assisted living unit
has provided an
opportunity for its residents to live as independent
a lifestyle as they can. Access to all of the
entertainments and programs of the nursing facility
enhance what is offered specifically on the
forty-four-bed unit itself. A multidisciplinary
approach to care is utilized and includes social
workers, dietary and activities personnel. A
licensed professional nursing staff, under the
direction of each resident’s physician, coordinates
the care. Families and residents are encouraged to
join the team process with attendance at the yearly
team conferences that are held for each resident.
The Manor’s assisted
living unit residents are just steps away from
levels of care that may be needed over time. Our
experience has shown us that these residents are
comforted and reassured knowing they can receive
skilled and rehab care after a hospitalization or
even long term nursing care in a facility they are
already “at home” in.
